Cunning Folk Tintype Pop-Up
First ever Ambrotype Pop-up coming your way at Cunning Folk Studio located at 4019 Hamilton Ave Second Floor! What is an ambrotype? Its the same process as a tintype but made on glass.
I will be offering 4×5 and 5×7 options in a variety of glass colors such as clear, black, blue and dark pink.
Prices - $90 for 4×5 and $100 for 5×7. Each plate will also come with a digital scan.
Honky Tonk Pop Up with Joe's Truck Stop at the Woodward
So excited to collaborate with Joe’s Truck Stop where you can snag a tintype and learn to two-step. This event will take place at the Woodward Theater the evening of Friday, December 11th. As we get closer I will offer reservation-based spots and walk-ins will be welcome as well.
Paper Moon Portraits @ 2701 Spring Grove
Paper Moon photo booths became popular at traveling fairs in the early 1900s, back when photography was still a rare luxury. I’ve always been drawn to these portraits, especially the charming and quirky moon designs, and wanted to capture that same magical feeling here in the studio. I worked hard handcrafting this moon and the set.
While the moon itself will stay mostly consistent from session to session, each event might will feature different skies, stars, clouds, and backdrop details. The backgrounds will be black, though the tintype process can sometimes create soft haze or fog-like effects due to chemistry variations. Those imperfections are part of what makes each plate entirely unique and impossible to replicate.
Appointments are available for 5×7 tintypes, and every portrait includes a high-resolution digital scan delivered to your inbox.
Occasionally we may create extra plates because of blinking, movement, or chemical inconsistencies. These “seconds” can be purchased for half price. If they aren’t claimed, they’ll be repurposed in the studio for mixed media work and experimentation.
Each booking is a private fifty minute session. Please arrive right on time — not early or late — to allow enough space between appointments for everyone involved.
You’re welcome to bring multiple outfit choices. Textures, patterns, and denim tend to photograph beautifully. Try to avoid solid dark shades or colors like black, red, orange, yellow, and green, as they can blend too much into the set.

Because of the size of the Paper Moon setup, sessions are limited to two people, or two adults with one small child who can sit comfortably on a lap. A pet is also allowed but please contact me to let me know you plan to bring one.

Tintypes @ Funke's Flea
Come out to Funke’s for some tintypes in the green house! Lets capture you among the foliage at 4798 Gray Rd, across from Spring Grove Cemetery.
Each plate will also come with a digital image.
These will be all natural light and can fit up to 4 people, although exposure times may vary and small children can find this difficult to stay still sometimes resulting in a blurry image.
Sizes offered - 4×5 ($70), 5×7 ($85), and 8×10 ($110). You can add shipping for $10 or opt for local pick up.
You can pay with cash or venmo on the day of.
Camp Washington State Fair Pop-Up
Join me at Camp Washington’s State Fair on Saturday, October 17th from 12pm–4pm for an afternoon of tintype portraits! I’ll be offering tintypes ranging from $70–$85 based on size, created using the beautiful, unpredictable process of natural light photography. These portraits are ideal for adults and older children who can hold still for a few moments, but very young children can be a little tricky since movement during the exposure may result in a beautifully imperfect—but potentially blurry—image. Come experience this historic photographic process and leave with a unique heirloom. Find me and other vendors at Valley Park in Camp Washington.
No reservations necessary just walk up!
Germantown Hoedown Pop-Up
Head out to Maysville, KY to the Germantown Fairgrounds and find me slinging plates through the weekend. There will be other vendors and amazing bike shows. I’ll have plates ranging from 4×5 - 8×10, starting at $70. We can do either natural or strobe light option. This is going to be so much fun!

I’ll be offering tintypes ranging from $70–$110 based on size, created using the beautiful, unpredictable process of natural light photography.
